South Africa condemns the prevention of the entry of aid to Gaza … and it praises the graduates of the Arab summit – the seventh day

South Africa announced its strong condemnation, that Israel refused to allow the introduction of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip and the closure of border crossings, at a time when Gaza residents suffer from indescribable suffering and urgently need food, shelter and medical supplies.

This came in a statement issued by the Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation in South Africa today, Wednesday, published by the South African News Agency.

In its statement – the ministry stated that preventing food entry into the Gaza Strip; It is a continuation of Israel’s starvation as a war weapon, as part of a continuous campaign described by the International Court of Justice as a “reasonable possibility” to genocide against the Palestinian people.

South Africa called on the international community to hold Israel accountable and ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid safely, continuously and without obstacle to all parts of the Gaza Strip.
South Africa confirmed – in its statement – that it also condemns the continuous Israeli military operations in the West Bank, which it considered a dangerous escalation that threatens the aspirations of the Palestinian people in determining their fate and establishing an independent state.

The Ministry indicated that forced displacement of more than 40,000 Palestinians from Jenin, Tulkarm, Nour Shams and other regions; It threatens to erase the Palestinian camps and the right to return.

The statement added that the ban on the activities of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) in these areas constitutes a flagrant violation of international law, and deprives the displaced Palestinians of basic support and international supervision.

The ministry confirmed that the Israeli military escalation in the West Bank, which has reached its highest level since 2002, reflects Israel’s intention to re -impose a comprehensive military occupation; Which undermines the Palestinian Authority and its rule.

South Africa also supported the continuous efforts made by the guarantors to address the reported violations of the ceasefire agreement, noting that the delay in release 620 Palestinian prisoners is a fundamental violation of the negotiating conditions.

South Africa welcomed – in the statement – the emergency outcomes of the League of Arab States, which was held on Tuesday in Cairo, which confirmed the support of a settlement led by the Palestinians in Gaza, and explicitly rejected the ethnic cleansing and forced displacement of the Palestinians.

South Africa expressed its deep concern about the continuous Israeli violations of Syria’s sovereignty and regional safety, by targeting the towns of southern Damascus and the southern Daraa Governorate.

South Africa condemned the statements of Israel, which is considered to be a “security zone”, stressing that any attempt by the Syrian forces to restore its control in this region cannot be considered a violation of the sovereignty of Syria, but rather a legitimate right of the Syrian state.
