Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary -General of the League of Arab States, received today, Al -Taher Al -Baour, Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of the State of Libya, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat.
Jamal Rushdie, the spokesperson for the Secretary -General, said that the meeting dealt with the research of the Arab League initiative to facilitate the dialogue between the Libyan presidencies and the means of resuming it, in addition to discussing the overall developments in the situation in Libya.

During the meeting, the Secretary -General renewed the assertion of the university’s keenness to assume its authentic responsibilities towards Libya based on the ownership of the Libyans for the political process, expressing the constant preparation of the Arab League to accompany the Libyans towards finding appropriate solutions to them.

And the spokesman for the Secretary -General, the official spokesman, reported that the meeting also witnessed the signing of the two sides on an agreement regarding the settlement of the arrears of the contribution of the State of Libya to the budget of the General Secretariat.
