UNRWA: Gaza “land for despair” and two million people who are subjected to collective punishment – the seventh day

The UN Commissioner of the United Nations Relief and Works of Palestine Refugees, UNRWA, “Philip Lazarini”, confirmed that Gaza has become “land despair” after a million people were subjected to collective punishment, especially after a continuous siege on Gaza 50 days ago by the Israeli authorities, warning that hunger is spreading and deepening, which is deliberate and man -made.

According to the United Nations Media Center, the Commissioner -General asked in a post on X: “How long will the words of the hollow condemnation turn into actions to lift the siege, resume the ceasefire, and save the rest of humanity?”

UNRWA also pointed out that the injured, patients and elderly are deprived of supplies and medical care, stressing that humanitarian organizations have ready aid to enter Gaza, including nearly 3 thousand UNRWA trucks carrying life -saving aid.

He pointed out that the basic supplies allocated to the needy began to end, warning against the use of humanitarian aid as a bargaining card and a war weapon, and he said the siege must be lifted, the supplies flow, the release of hostages, and the resumption of a ceasefire.
