The Prime Minister of Yemen is discussing with an international official in financing the most sustainable programs – the seventh day

The Yemeni Prime Minister, Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, in the temporary capital of Aden, discussed with the residing representative of the United Nations Development Program in Yemen, Zina Ali Ahmed, the program’s efforts to mobilize more funds for the most sustainable and effective programs to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people.

Bin Mubarak, during the meeting, according to the “Yemen” satellite channel, expressed his appreciation for the interventions of the United Nations Development Program and the need to formulate it efficiently according to the urgent priorities, and aspirations for the program’s active contribution to supporting the vision of the Yemeni government and its comprehensive program for financial and administrative reforms and implementing the economic recovery plan.

The Yemeni Prime Minister indicated that the ongoing preparations for the first national energy conference to hold with the aim of mobilizing international support and financing for the government strategy for the electricity sector, and creating an active partnership with the private sector.

For its part, the residing representative of the United Nations Development Program, Zina Ali Ahmed, affirmed the support of the national agenda for reforms led by the Prime Minister, and the keenness to strengthen the partnership with the Yemeni government in various aspects related to the work of the program.

The UN official presented a comprehensive briefing on the areas of the United Nations Development Program, in the aspects of electricity and clean energy, confronting climate change, supporting livelihoods, and improving the efficiency of Aden Port and others.

She added that a comprehensive study on renewable energy in Yemen and the opportunities for partnership with the private sector have been completed, and the completion of the preparation of an economic and social development plan for the governorates of Hadramout and Lahj after the launch of the Taiz Governorate plan.
