The governor of the Darfur province shall appeal to Jotairish on the humanitarian situation in Zamzam and Al -Fasher camp – the seventh day

The governor of the Darfur province, Mona Aro Minawi, warned of the dangers of the catastrophic humanitarian situation quickly in the Zamzam camp for the displaced internally, the city of El -Fasher, the Naifasha, Al -Salam camp, and the locality of Umm Kadada, in the state of North Darfur, west of Sudan.

This came in a call sent by “Minawi” to the Secretary -General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres on the humanitarian crisis in the Zamzam camp for the displaced internally and Al -Fasher, North Darfur, and against the background of the attack by the “Rapid Support” militia on April 12 on the Zamzam camp for the displaced, according to the Sudanese News Agency (Sona).

In a letter to the Secretary -General of the United Nations, the governor of the Darfur region, the governor of the Darfur region called for the immediate release of the kidnapped women and children, ensuring the transfer of food and medical supplies without obstacles from the outskirts of Al -Fasher to the affected population inside the city, the camps of the displaced, and the siege of El -Fasher directly.

“Minawi” affirmed the government’s commitment to international humanitarian law, and welcoming the participation of United Nations agencies in delivering life -saving aid, by land and air, and preparing to provide any facilities or protection necessary to ensure the access of aid to the needy.
