This came during the meeting of Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, today, Wednesday, in Abu Dhabi, the delegation of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the European Parliament headed by David McCallster, where cooperation relations between the UAE and the European Union were reviewed, and ways to enhance them to serve the common interests of both sides, according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM).

The two sides touched on the recent announcement of the launch of negotiations on the comprehensive economic partnership agreement between the UAE and the European Union, and the importance of this step in achieving a qualitative shift in cooperation relations between the two sides, especially in the economic, commercial and investment sectors.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, and the delegation of the European Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee, also discussed all the current developments in the region, and ways to enhance the efforts made to consolidate the pillars of regional security and stability.
