Sudanese Captain Captain: 28 journalists have been killed since the war in Sudan – the seventh day

The Sudanese Captain of the Journalists, Abdel Moneim Abu Idris, announced the number of journalists who have been killed since the outbreak of the war on April 15, 2023 to 28 journalists.

Abu Idris said, in a special interview with Al -Arabiya Al -Hadath news channel today, Tuesday, “The number of victims from journalists and journalists has risen until Monday to 28 journalists and journalists, 8 of whom were killed while performing their work tasks, in addition to that others were killed in their homes.”

The Sudanese official pointed out that the number of violations committed against journalists has increased to 550 documented violations, explaining that the Sudanese journalists who have been detained and arrested have reached 66 journalists and journalists so far, indicating that statistics are constantly changing, and confirm that this war also targeted civilians in all sectors of the state also targeted journalists and journalists in all parts of the country.

Abu Idris added that the press and media institutions in Sudan have destroyed a large percentage in an attempt to obscure the real features that document all violations committed against civilians in this war, stressing that the war in Sudan forced more than 500 journalists and journalists to resort to neighboring countries, and that 1,000 of them have been displaced inside, in addition to the stopping of more than 90% of the practice of the profession of the press due to the destruction that caused all press institutions in Sudan.

He stressed that the violations that occurred against journalists contributed greatly to the spread of false news and rumors and the escalation of hate speech in the country, pointing to the problems that the Sudanese electronic press was also subjected to.
