The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed – in a statement, reported by the Qatar News Agency (Qena) – that education is an inherent right guaranteed by international human rights laws and covenants, and renewed the definitive refusal of the State of Qatar to politicize education and Israeli movements aimed at ending or reducing the role of UNRWA, stressing the need for the international community to move urgently to hold Israel accountable and obligate it to comply with international laws.
The Ministry renewed the constant and permanent position of the State of Qatar in supporting the Palestinian issue and the steadfastness of the brotherly Palestinian people, based on international legitimacy decisions and the two -state solution, in a manner that ensures the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
