Sudanese Foreign Minister: The Rapid Support Militia has not achieved real victories – the seventh day

The Sudanese Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Ali Youssef, said that the Rapid Support militia did not actually achieve any real victories, but was in the sites occupied by the beginning of the battle on April 15, which actually existed before the start of the fighting.

He explained during a special meeting with the journalist Jamal Anayet, on the program “Then what happened”, on the “Cairo News” channel that this militia was present in many areas by virtue of its composition and importance, and it had a role in the revolution that overthrew the Bashir regime.

He stressed that the Rapid Support militia did not occupy the Republican Palace of the armed forces, but rather enabled its guard, as it was spread in many important sites such as the General Command of the Armed Forces and the headquarters of the radio and television in Omdurman.

He added that the war began self -defense by the armed forces in its military positions, then the armed forces moved in a second stage outside the military bases.

He pointed out that in the last stage, the victories were achieved in the battle of Khartoum, which was a separate and important battle in changing the course of the war. After this battle, the rebel militia forces fled through the Tazran Al -Jabal Awali Bridge, which Egypt built in the thirties of the last century, and moved to the regions of West Khartoum.
