The Palestinian Foreign Ministry welcomes Macron to recognize Palestine in the coming months – the seventh day

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates welcomed the announcement of French President Emmanuel Macron to recognize the State of Palestine in the next few months.

The ministry said – in a statement carried by the Palestinian News Agency (Wafa) today – that President Macron’s position is a step in the right direction to protect the two -state solution and achieve peace, in an explicit harmony with international law and international legitimacy resolutions.

The countries that have not yet recognized the State of Palestine demanded the initiative to such recognition, especially European countries, and demanded to support the Palestinian efforts made by the State of Palestine to obtain full membership in the United Nations, calling on all countries to participate in the international conference that will be held next June headed by a joint French-Saudi, in support of the implementation of the two-state solution.

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry emphasized that the immediate endowment of the crimes of genocide, displacement, annexation, and the restoration of the political horizon to resolve the conflict and enable the Palestinian people to embody their state on the ground, is the key to resolving the conflict and achieving the security and stability of the region.
