Syrian Minister: The new government was formed on the basis of competence and experience and one hand that does not clap – the seventh day

The Minister of Social Affairs and Labor in the new Syrian government, Hind Qabbat, confirmed that the new government was formed on the basis of efficiency, experience and the selection of ministers, according to the specializations and legal backgrounds.

Qibbat, the only woman in the new Syrian government, said in media statements that Syria “is no longer a country that concerns a specific religion or sect.”

She added: “I received the blessings and words of encouragement from Christian, Muslim, Druze, Alevi, and Ismailis.”

He continued: “We have worked for many years in civil society, and within the framework of dialogue between generations, and we had colleagues and colleagues of all religions and sects, including brothers from the Yezidis and the Kurds.”

Qibbat indicated that the new government “was formed on the basis of efficiency and will be the government of technocrats and the appointments in it is not personal motives. No one has been appointed in this position (minister) without having experience, and people were chosen on the basis of specializations and legal backgrounds, and this is evidence that this is expert government.”

And she considered that “the Syrians have proven to the whole world that they are successful wherever they are, and I have no doubt that we will build this country with work and will.”

She stressed that “talking about minorities is no longer a constructive means.” She added: “We are Syrians, citizens and citizens are all equal, and if we want to build a new Syria, we must speak on the basis of citizenship.”

She emphasized that “this position does not concern a religion or a sect, but rather it belongs to all Syrians and Syrians.”

The Syrian Minister of Social Affairs and Labor expressed her desire to “obtain the government’s support,” noting that it was “formed only a few days ago, so it must be given enough time.” She added: “Today we are in a full partnership with civil society. This ministry is open to all innovative experiences and ideas.”

Qibat pointed out that “one hand does not clap, and we are awaiting contribution from all groups of society.”
