According to Hebrew media, hundreds of reserve soldiers in the Air Force signed a message in which they called for the end of the war, considering that they are being used to achieve political interests away from the basic security goals of the state.

The message warned of the danger of depleting the reserve force and the exhaustion of the soldiers, in addition to the possibility of severe human losses, whether between prisoners or civilians and soldiers.

With the continued clashes, war and military operations in Gaza for more than a year and a half, the voices inside the military establishment inside Israel to warn of the danger of the current war policies.

Some believe that the continuation of this war does not serve the interests of the state, but rather exposes the lives of soldiers and citizens to unjustified dangers, which prompted some factions within the army to take explicit critical positions.

In a deterrent step, Major General Tomer Bar, commander of the Air Force, implemented initiatives to meet the leaders of the reserve units, as he directed strict warnings that those who signed the message will not have a share in continuing within the reserve forces.

This is not the first incident, as a similar message has already been signed by many medical weapons soldiers, who described the current path as the “self -destruction” followed by the political leadership.

Israel also witnessed an incident to separate a reserve pilot from his post after he announced his refusal to carry out his combat duties for ideological reasons, which added a new dimension to discuss the extent of overlap within the military establishment.

According to Hebrew media, the crisis has reached the office of the Chief of Staff, General Eyal Zamir, who held meetings with senior military commanders with the aim of supporting the Air Force Command and preserving the strategic targets of military operations.
