Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum affirmed the UAE’s pride in the continuous positive progress in the strategic partnership paths that it brings together in India based on close historical ties based on mutual respect and common interests and cooperation to promote development, which has increased for more than five decades, with a mutual care to advance cooperation in the vital sectors, and in a way that contributes to achieving the targets of comprehensive and sustainable development For the two friendly peoples.

The two sides also stressed the importance of providing adequate incentives for investors and enabling them to discover new opportunities for cooperation and launch more joint qualitative projects and increase the volume of trade and tourism exchange between the two countries in the context of the comprehensive economic partnership agreement between the UAE and India and the bilateral investment agreement, which provided a model framework to enhance trade and investment cooperation between the two countries, as well as its many capabilities and ingredients.

It is noteworthy that within the framework of the comprehensive economic partnership agreement between the two countries, the UAE non -oil trade with the Republic of India increased by 20.5% in the year 2024 to reach more than 240 billion dirhams, compared to 199.3 billion dirhams in 2023, in a clear indication of the possibility of achieving more progress in expanding the circle of investment and commercial opportunities between the two countries during the next stage, based on the positive positive development in economic relations and based on Common visions on focusing on the development of the new sectors supporting sustainable growth in the two countries.

The UAE had signed the comprehensive economic partnership agreement with the Republic of India in February 2022 within the program of global economic agreements aimed at expanding the network of commercial partners of the UAE with markets of strategic importance on the map of international trade, as was the first agreement of India with a country in the Middle East and North Africa region .. It is expected that the agreement will have an impact on increasing non -oil trade between the two countries to 100 billion dollars annually by the year 2030.
