The Lebanese army commander, during his reception of the head of the press editors of Joseph Al -Qushaifi in his office in Yarzeh on Monday, added that the withdrawal leads to stability and weaded the presence of the active state in all Lebanese regions.
According to Joseph Al -Qusaifi, General Rudolf Heikal confirmed that the Lebanese army is committed to implementing the UN Security Council Resolution 1701 and the decision to stop the fire issued by this council.
He stated that the army is deployed in the southern Litani region and carries out its missions without slowing down or obstacles, in full cooperation with the southern society in that region.

On the security at home, General Rudolf Heikal said that security at home is under control, in coordination with the other Lebanese security services.
Regarding volunteering in the army, Heikal pointed out that this process is continuing in implementation of the cabinet decisions in order to settle on 6,000 volunteers.

In another context, General Rudolph Heikal pointed out that friendly countries that provide support to the army are still committed to providing aid, expressing his hope that this support will expand and reinforce in the future.
