“The Guardian”: a British condemnation to prevent the entry of two representatives of the Labor Party amid its resumption of the war on Gaza – the seventh day

The British newspaper “The Guardian” highlighted the prevention of the Israeli authorities, who are replaced by the British Labor Party, Yuan Yang and Ibtisam Muhammad, from entering and deporting Israel after their detention at Ben -Gurion Airport, yesterday /Saturday, noting that the deportation of the two workers’ representatives comes amid Israel’s resumption of its offensive military operations on the Gaza Strip, which resulted in the killing of tens of thousands of Palestinians.

According to the British newspaper, British Foreign Secretary David Lami criticized the Israeli authorities for preventing them from entering and deporting the Labor Party to Israel.
Lami, in a statement issued by the British Foreign Ministry, denounced the disposal of the Israeli authorities, and said that “it is unacceptable that the British parliamentary delegation be detained and deported.”

He continued by saying: “It is unacceptable, unacceptable, and deeply worried that the Israeli authorities are seized as part of a British parliamentary delegation and prevent them from entering Israel.”
“I have made it clear to my counterparts in the Israeli government that this is not a way to treat British parliamentarians, and we have contacted them during the past hours to clarify our position,” he added.

On the other hand, the British Foreign Minister indicated that “the government’s focus is still on the guarantee of a return to the ceasefire and negotiations to stop the bloodshed, liberate the hostages, and end the conflict in Gaza.”
According to the report, the British Labor Party, Ibtisam Muhammad and Ywan Yang, in a joint statement, expressed their “astonishment as a result of preventing them and their aides from entering Israel after they were detained upon their arrival.”

They stressed “the need for members of Parliament to be able to see the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories themselves.”
The two calamities indicated that they are among many deputies who have spoken in recent months about the Israeli -Palestinian conflict and the importance of compliance with international humanitarian law.
For its part, the head of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the British Parliament, Emily Thornbari, said, “Israel’s behavior against the two representatives is offended by Britain and the British Parliament, and that Israel will regret it.”

Yesterday, Saturday, the Israeli authorities claimed that they prevented the British representatives from entering the country, claiming that they were “intending to document the activities of the Israeli security forces” and “spreading hatred against Israel,” according to a statement issued by the Israeli Ministry of Immigration.
