The Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed that while the world revives the World Health Day, which falls tomorrow, Monday, under the slogan “a healthy beginning for a promising future”, this day passes on Palestine in a tragic, healthy reality experienced by the Palestinian people, especially in the Gaza Strip, and the almost complete collapse of the health system.

The ministry stated, in a statement on the eve of the World Health Day, according to the Palestinian News Agency “Wafa” today/ Sunday – “on the World Health Day, we remind the world that the right to health is still a source of millions of Palestinians, and that children, women, the elderly and patients in the Gaza Strip face the risk of death in the absence of the lowest elements of health care, the depletion of medicines and medical supplies, and the majority of hospitals stopped working because of the running out of fuel.”
She warned of the continuous deterioration in the health system in the West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem, as a result of the continuous violations by the Israeli occupation, obstructing the access of patients to hospitals, and storming health institutions, as well as the suffocating financial crisis resulting from the piracy of the clearing money, which threatens the continuity of providing basic health services.

The Palestinian health called on the international community, the World Health Organization, and the international and human rights institutions, to assume their legal and humanitarian responsibilities, the urgent action to save the remaining Palestinian health system, stop targeting hospitals, secure the entry of medicines, medical supplies and fuel, and provide safe passages to transport the wounded and patients to receive treatment.
