The Assistant Secretary -General of the League of Arab States, Ambassador Haifa Abu Ghazaleh, said that the extraordinary meeting of the Economic and Social Council comes to discuss the important issues proposed by member states, the general secretariat and ministerial councils to present to the Arab Summit in its 34th session and the Arab developmental summit: economic and social in their fifth session, which will be held in exceptional circumstances that greatly affected the development gains in the region.
She added, during her speech before the meeting held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States today, Monday, that the two peaks focus on topics that represent a priority for the Arab person, and taking into account developments and priorities, foremost of which is the stability and stability of security and peace in the region, until the development process is completed with the required form and content and produces its fruits to reflect positively on the Arab person in its various categories.
It comes at the forefront of the topics, according to Abu Ghazaleh, the issue of food security and solar energy, as well as accommodating the displaced families as a result of the insect practices of Israel, the existing force of the occupation, and the issue of investment in human resources and the development of school and university health, as well as the economic and social empowerment of Arab women.
She explained that the crystallization of the Arab position by preparing for the Second World Summit for Social Development is a priority in the summit file, in a way that supports the Arab position and puts the Arab people’s social priorities in front of this upcoming qualitative world summit.
