Syrian President Ahmed Al -Sharaa discussed with the Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Shi’a Al -Sudani the bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance them in various fields, this came during a phone call made by the Sudanese yesterday, Tuesday, with Sharia, and exchanged congratulations on the occasion of Eid Al -Fitr, according to a statement of the media office of the Iraqi Prime Minister.
The media office of the Iraqi Prime Minister said in a statement: “The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shi’a Al -Sudani, exchanged congratulations on Tuesday with Syrian President Ahmed Al -Shara on the occasion of Eid Al -Fitr, during a joint phone call.”
The statement added: “During the call, the Sudanese expressed his wishes and congratulations to the Syrian people on the occasion of the formation of the new government, stressing Iraq’s steadfast position by standing alongside the options of the brotherly Syrian people and the importance of the political process to include all its spectrums and components, and to pour the path of peaceful coexistence and societal security for a safe and stable future for Syria and the whole region.”

He continued: “The Sudanese emphasized the communication, Iraq, the refusal of the Zionist entity into the Syrian territories, the support of Iraq to the unity and integrity of the lands and sovereignty of Syria, and the rejection of external interference, as well as the importance of mutual cooperation in facing the threat of ISIS, in addition to cooperation in the economic fields, by virtue of the factors and joint opportunities.”
