Democratic Deputy: The prohibition of providing weapons to Israel is the only ethical option for America – the seventh day

Under the title “Blocking Weapons on Israel is the only ethical option for America,” Democratic Representative Ponny Watson said, in an article in the American “Newsweek” magazine, that Israel was warned after the October 7 attacks of repeating the same mistakes committed by the United States after the events of September 11 and not to let anger be overcome by the mind, and not let madness to overthrow morals.

But Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ignored these warnings, and was involved in one of the most brutal military operations in the twenty -first century, in the words of the American deputy.

She added that the past fourteen months have witnessed an inseparable destruction and death for a people who have lived, during the past twenty years, under the siege of the Israeli army.

She said that this war exceeded the borders of Gaza, referring to Sami Shaaban, a resident of its region and a former member of the Franklin Educational Council, who lost more than 40 members of his family in Gaza, including his cousin who was killed with her newborn son in the renewed shelling last Tuesday.

Dr. Adam Hamwi, an old warrior in the American army and a plastic surgeon from North Bronzwick, traveled twice to Gaza to provide life -saving medical care to innocent Palestinians who were injured in the bombing campaigns. Dr. Hamwi carried out similar medical tasks in wars -torn countries around the world, but he described the situation in Gaza as worse than any situation he saw. In the last shelling, five colleagues of Dr. Hamwi were injured, and one was killed.

“We should not be deceived by ourselves. We are not only witnessing a genocide in Gaza, but we participate in it. We are complicit. Whatever we claim that we are working to stop the shooting last year, we were fueling the fire that invaded Gaza.”

The bombing of Gaza killed more than 50,000 Palestinians (most of them women and children), in addition to 14,000 missing under the rubble. Meanwhile, the fighting in the West Bank resulted in the death of more than 900 people.

She said we must also realize that we have the ability to end this horror. Throughout its history, Israel stopped its wars not when it achieved its alleged targets, but when it demanded its patronage – the United States, the United Kingdom, and the Soviet Union – that. The presidents, Dwight Eisenhower, Ronald Reagan and Barack Obama, curbed Israel at different moments.
