More than 78,000 of the Israeli army and security forces have been wounded since October 7, 2023, according to the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation yesterday evening.
The Broadcasting Authority quoted the rehabilitation department in the Israeli Ministry of Defense as saying that there are more than 78,000 wounded in the ranks of the army and security forces, 50% of them suffer from psychological trauma.
The ministry said that 16,000 wounded had been hospitalized since October 7 for treatment.
There is a large gap between the numbers announced by the Ministry of Defense and that published on the IDF website.

The Israeli army has been called on its site, injuring 5741 military personnel, since the events of October 7, 2023.
During the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, since October 7, 2023, the occupation adopted 835 officers and military personnel, in addition to thousands of wounded and psychologically handicapped as a result of the war.
The Israeli army is facing local accusations of hiding a great real outcome of its losses, in order to preserve the morale.
With American support, since October 7, 2023, Israel has committed genocide in Gaza, which left more than 163,000 martyrs and wounded Palestinians, most of them children and women, and more than 14,000 missing.
