The Somali Foreign Ministry indicated that the security services are conducting a comprehensive investigation and more details will be announced in a timely manner

She stressed that the attacking of the Somali President coincided with the continuation of the Somali National Army in its military operations against Al -Shabaab, repeating the terrorists from their remaining hideouts in the Central Shabili region, and the national forces achieving decisive victories.

The Somali Foreign Ministry emphasized that Somalia’s intention to combat terrorism is underestimating, and that it is in the unity of the nation and the support of the firm international partners, the forces of extremism will be decisively overcome, which paves the way for a future of peace and stability.

Earlier, the Somali “Al -Shabaab” movement said that gunmen targeted Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud in a bombs on his convoy as he passed through the capital Mogadishu on Tuesday.
