United Nations: Reports of the killing of entire families in hostilities in Syria – the seventh day

Volcker Turk, United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, said that very disturbing reports are about the killing of entire families, including women and children in the wake of a series of attacks by armed men on civilians in coastal areas in northwestern Syria.

Turk said that the declaration of business conducting authorities for their intention to respect the law should be followed by quick measures to protect the Syrians, including taking all necessary measures to prevent any violations and transgressions and achieve accountability when they occur.

The UN official stressed that there must be immediate, transparent and fair investigations in all other killings and violations, and those responsible for them must be held accountable in line with the rules and standards of international law, adding that groups that terrify civilians must be held accountable.

The UN official said that these events, as well as the continuous rise in hate speech on the Internet and abroad, once again show the urgent need for a comprehensive, comprehensive, nationally owned transition process, including everyone and focuses on truth, justice and accountability.
