The Ministry stated – in a statement reported by the Iraqi News Agency (conscious), today, Saturday, that it “is following with great concern about the ongoing security developments in Syria and the serious repercussions on security and stability in the region.”
She stressed, “Iraq’s fixed and calling position to the need to protect civilians and spare them the scourge of conflict,” stressing “the importance of restraint on all parties, the priority of the language of dialogue and the adoption of peaceful solutions instead of military escalation.”

The Ministry expressed its absolute rejection of targeting innocent civilians, warning that the continuation of violence will exacerbate the crisis and deepen instability in the region, which hinders efforts to restore security and peace.
