Today, Saturday, the Syrian Ministry of Defense reported the failure of an attack, which it said was the remnants of the former regime on the leadership of the naval forces in the city of Lattakia.

The Syrian News Agency, “SANA”, quoted a source in the Ministry of Defense as saying: “Our forces can thwart an attack by the remnants of the defunct regime on the leadership of the naval forces in the city of Lattakia, and restore stability to the region.”

In a related context, a security source in Lattakia told “SANA” that “an attack by the remnants of the defunct regime targeting the National Hospital in Lattakia, the public security forces will confront it.”

On Friday, a spokesman for the Syrian Ministry of Defense announced the restoration of control of the cities of Tartous and Lattakia, located on the Syrian coast, west of the country.

According to “SANA”, Colonel Hassan Abdel -Ghani, a spokesman for the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Defense forces “has made rapid field progress, and re -controlled the areas that witnessed treacherous attacks against the public security men.”

He added: “We have carried out the cordones of court, which led to the tightening of the screws on the remaining elements of the decent regime’s officers and remnants.”

He continued: “Now our forces continue to deal with the remaining hotspots of criminals, and we hand over all those involved to the competent security authorities to ensure their accounting in accordance with the law.”

He warned “of the dire consequences to continue treachery, and we confirm that everyone who refuses to hand over his weapon will face a decisive response that is not negligent.”

He concluded his remarks by saying: “We give to our honorable people who have come to support their brothers an invitation to return to their areas. The conditions are under full control and operations continues according to the plan accurately, and there is no need to worry.”
