The Syrian Ministry of Defense announced today, Friday, that its forces have completely taken control of the cities of Lattakia and Tartous as part of a wide campaign started by the military and security services in the Sahel region, western Syria, following the coordinated attacks of loyalists to the regime of ousted President Bashar al -Assad, while violent clashes took place in axes, including the vicinity of the city of Jableh, according to Syrian media.
The spokesman for the Ministry of Defense said that the forces also regained control of many of the sites to which the remnants of the ousted regime in the Sahel region.
The Syrian spokesman added that a few hours separate the military and security forces from ending the operation against the remnants, noting that the participating forces face what he described as criminal outposts aimed at causing chaos and harming civilians.
