The United Nations invites all parties in Syria to control and protect civilians – the seventh day

The United Nations Special Envoy to Syria, changed Pedersen, expressed great concern about the reports received regarding violent clashes and killings in coastal areas, including between the forces of business draining authorities and pro -elements of the previous regime, with very disturbing reports of civilian casualties.

He said in a statement that “in light of the continued developments of the situation and our endeavor to accurately verify the facts, there is an immediate need to control the soul from all parties, and to ensure full respect for the protection of civilians in accordance with international law.”

He called on all parties to refrain from any actions that may lead to fueling tensions, escalating the conflict, exacerbating the suffering of affected societies, destabilizing Syria, or undermining credible and comprehensive political transition for all.

A source in the Syrian Ministry of Defense announced to “SANA” that the Syrian forces were able to break the siege imposed by the remnants of the late regime on “our fighters in the vicinity of the city of Qirdaha, after violent clashes in the region.”

The Syrian forces began storming the city of Qirdahah in Lattakia countryside, after it brought in military reinforcements that included tanks and brothels, in order to pursue elements of the army of Bashar al -Assad, after they took control of several villages and towns in the Syrian coast. This move comes within the framework of the efforts of the forces of the defense and internal ministries to contain the increasing security escalation in the Syrian coast areas, and to address the threats posed by these elements.
