The Director of the Middle East and North Africa and the Gulf of the European Union Stefano Sanino talked about the emergency Arab summit and the speech of European Council President Antonio Costa in it, and the most prominent points included in the final statement of the summit.
He said in an interview with the media, Fayrouz Makki, the presenter of the “Matrouh Discussion” program, through the “Cairo News” channel: “First, President Costa stressed a very important point, which is the necessity of establishing a Palestinian state living in peace alongside Israel, so that security and stability for both parties were achieved, and this point was a major matter in the final statement that came at the summit.”
He continued: “It is important that there be a road map to carry out this process in a way that includes work to rebuild the Gaza Strip, and we believe in the importance of joint efforts to ensure the Palestinian Authority entering the Gaza Strip, so that it can manage this process and lay the foundations for rapprochement between Gaza and the West Bank.”
