European countries reject any “any role” of Hamas in Gaza in the future – the seventh day

Several European countries stressed in the wake of a meeting of the UN Security Council that Hamas should not play any “role” in the Gaza Strip in the future, according to the plan presented by Arab leaders.

“We are clear that the future plan should not give any role of Hamas, and it must guarantee the security of Israel and should not be displaced by the Palestinians from Gaza,” said the Acting French Mission to the United Nations in New York, Jay Darmad Hikari, told reporters in a statement in the name of France, Denmark, Greece, Slovenia and the United Kingdom.

He added that the plan “must support the unity of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip under the Palestinian Authority.”

The Arab leaders have adopted a plan to re -reconcile the Gaza Strip and return the Palestinian Authority to it, as an alternative to the plan of US President Donald Trump, who proposed control of the Gaza Strip, deporting its residents and turning it into “Rvira Middle East”.

The member states of the League of Arab States combined in Cairo called for uniting the Palestinians under the umbrella of the Palestine Liberation Organization.

“We welcome the regional efforts aimed at uniting on one plan for the next stage in Gaza, and we are ready to support and develop these ideas,” said the Acting French Mission to the United Nations in the wake of a closed security meeting held to discuss this issue on Wednesday.

France and the four countries urged Israel to allow “unconditional” humanitarian aid to enter Gaza, noting that the matter is “negotiable.”

On Sunday, Israel announced a decision to suspend the entry of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, amid a dispute with Hamas on how to continue implementing the fragile armistice agreement that entered into force on January 19, 15 months after a devastating war in the Palestinian sector.
