The British newspaper (The Guardian) criticized the decision of Israel to prevent aid to the Gaza Strip, stressing that it “pushes the Palestinians towards a disaster.”
The newspaper stated, in its editorial today, Wednesday, that Israel’s decision to prevent the entry of aid to Gaza, with the ceasefire talks, was a devastating blow to a “hungry” and “weak” civilian in the war.
As the occupied force, Israel is legally obligated to allow relief to enter Gaza under the Geneva Convention, stressing that denying this is not only inhuman, but rather a war crime.

The newspaper considered that Netanyahu’s ability to violate international law is thanks to US President Donald Trump, who remains standing in his class fixed, and it seems that Washington now accepts starvation as an Israeli bargaining card to pressure Hamas to accept the extension of the truce that the United States invented, which guarantees the exchange of hostages while ensuring that the Israeli forces remain in Gaza.

The newspaper warned that the Palestinians in Gaza are on the brink of the abyss, as food is running out, hospitals are unable to work, and families are looking for clean water, and any other restrictions on aid that will turn despair into a disaster, noting that it would be much better to reach peace through negotiations allowing Palestinians to stay to rebuild their lives and return the remaining Israeli hostages to their homes.
The newspaper said that from the beginning, the Trump administration pursued a unilateral aggressive approach towards Gaza, in line with Israeli interests while ignoring Palestinian concerns.
