Iraq discusses the strengthening of border security measures .. Military talks are taking place with Spain – the seventh day

The Ministerial Council for National Security in Iraq discussed ways to enhance the procedures related to border security, as well as discussing the “National Border Management Strategy”; To support and develop the border ports, the Iraqi land and naval borders.

A spokesman for the Commander -in -Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces, Sabah Al -Numan – said in a statement broadcast by the Iraqi News Agency (conscious) – that the Prime Minister, Commander -in -Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Shi’a Al -Sudani, chaired the periodic meeting of the Ministerial Council for National Security, where the overall security situation in the country was discussed.

He added that during the meeting, a discussion of ways to provide “appropriate contexts” for the relevant authorities and the participating agencies in the administration and protection of borders, and affirming Iraq’s commitment to the principles and provisions of international treaties, and achieving a balance between ensuring the integrity and security of the borders on the one hand, and facilitating travel, tourism, trade and investment on the other hand, to support the Iraqi economy.

In another context, Iraqi Defense Minister Thabet Muhammad Saeed Al -Abbasi met today with the Spanish Ambassador to Iraq, Ilythia Rico Bulgar, where they discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation between the two countries, in the presence of the Spanish military attaché Lt. Col. Diego Romero Rodriguez, and senior officers of the Iraqi Ministry of Defense.
