The Security Council holds closed consultations today about Gaza and the Middle East – the seventh day

Today, Wednesday, Security Council members will hold closed consultations on “the situation in the Middle East and the question of Palestine.”

The largest humanitarian and reconstruction coordinator in Gaza, will provide Kaj Kaj, a briefing on the latest humanitarian developments in Gaza, according to the Security Council statement.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), according to a previous statement, provided food aid to more than 90 percent of Gaza population since the beginning of the ceasefire, which helped to improve food security slightly, despite the Israeli legislation that restricts UNRWA operations that entered into force last January 30.
