Hundreds of trucks are waiting in Rafah and Al -Arish to resume the entry of aid to Gaza – the seventh day

Hundreds of trucks loaded with various humanitarian aid are accumulated in the areas of Rafah and Al -Arish in North Sinai, pending allowing them to move again towards the Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing, after the crossings were closed by Israel.

According to sources in the Egyptian Red Crescent, these trucks, which include foodstuffs, medicines, medical supplies and fuel tanks, are ready to move as soon as the transit operations resumed. The sources pointed out that some of them are stationed in the logistical area in Rafah near the crossing, while other trucks are waiting for the movements of movements from the logistical stores in Al -Arish, where the aid is received and equipped.

Sources at the Rafah crossing confirmed that the humanitarian situation in Gaza is exacerbated dangerously with the continued severe shortage of food, medicine and fuel, which threatens hospitals and vital facilities to stop work. She added that the competent Egyptian authorities, in cooperation with international relief organizations, are making great efforts to coordinate the entry of aid as soon as the crossings are opened, as trucks are organized inside the warehouses to ensure the speed of distribution within the sector.

Despite the obstacles imposed by Israel, Egypt continues its pivotal role in delivering aid to Gaza, where supplies are stored in seven logistical warehouses created for this purpose in North Sinai. The sources confirmed that Egypt is able to pass 600 aid trucks and 50 fuel trucks daily as soon as the transit resumed, in light of continuous coordination with the Egyptian Red Crescent and humanitarian organizations to ensure the flow of supplies to those who deserve it.
