According to the United Nations Media Center, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs confirmed that the crossings to Gaza – Karam Abu Salem, Zikim and Irerez – are still closed to trucks for the third day in a row.

“Dujarric” said that the Israeli authorities rejected the international attempts to collect the humanitarian supplies that crossed the Karam Abu Salem crossing before its closure.
For his part, the UNRWA Commissioner -General Philip Lazarini said that Israel’s decision to stop aid to Gaza “threatens the lives of 16 months of civilized civilians.” He added that humanitarian aid must continue to flow widely, similar to the past six weeks when the ceasefire began.

The Fund said that the re -imposition of the siege on Gaza threatens the opposite of the course of progress at a critical time, as people struggle to stay. Since the start of the ceasefire, the United Nations Population Fund and its partners have focused on restoring basic services for women and girls, providing reproductive health and protection services to 170,000 women and girls, and established and equipped 16 temporary health facilities to provide critical health care for thousands of pregnant women and mothers from other activities.
Despite these efforts, the Fund said that the needs of women and girls are still enormous, as the war left an unimaginable destruction while the disease and hunger spread and the health system became ruined.
The Fund called on all parties to respect its obligations under international law completely and urgently, to lift the siege and allow humanitarian aid to flow freely to Gaza.
