Rapid support targets Marwa Dam by drones … and the power outages in the northern state – the seventh day

The fast support militia launched a new attack by drones today, Tuesday, targeting the Marwa power station for the third time in a month, which led to the power outage from large parts of the northern state in Sudan.

For its part, the Department of Information and Public Relations of the Sudan Electricity Company confirmed, in an official statement, that the transformative station in Merwi was attacked by drones, which led to the damage of the main adapter nourishing the northern state.

The company pointed out that the repeated targeting of power stations negatively affects the basic services of citizens, especially in the holy month of Ramadan.

The citizens reassured that civil defense teams are working to control fire and reduce damage, while the technical team continues from engineers, technicians and workers assessing the size of the losses and starting the repair operations to restore electricity as quickly as possible.

For its part, the leadership of the nineteenth division accused Marwa’s infantry, the elements of rapid support of being behind the attacks of the drones that targeted the driver’s leadership and Meroe Dam in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

The statement added: “The terrorist rebellion forces targeted the 19th Division Command and the Meroe Dam with a number of marches, which caused some damage.”

The statement reassured the citizens of the northern state and the locality of Meroe that the army is fully prepared and prepared to deal with any emergency or any strange bodies in the sky of the region.
