This came during the closing statement issued by the council, today, Friday, after the end of its 32nd session, entitled: “Neither for displacement nor for annexation- steadfastness in the homeland- to save our people in Gaza and stop the war- protecting Jerusalem and the West Bank, yes to the universal Palestinian national unity”, which started last Wednesday, in the Ahmed Al-Shukairi Hall, at the presidential headquarters in the city of Ramallah.
The council started its work with the Palestinian national anthem, reading Al -Fatihah on the lives of the martyrs of the people, and mercy on Pope Francis.

The head of the Palestinian National Council, Rouhi Fattouh, welcomed the attendees, calling for the adherence to the Palestine Liberation Organization as a legal and only representative of the people in all its places, stressing the importance of stopping the war of genocide against our people.
The President of the State of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas, also delivered a comprehensive political speech, during which he emphasized the principles of the national position, and refused to displace and annexation, and the Central Council considered the president’s speech a basis document for its work.

He also affirmed, continuing to resist the occupation, its colonies and plans, to embody the independence of the national in the independent Palestinian state, on the borders of the fourth of June 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

The Central Council decided to create the position of Vice -Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, President of the State of Palestine, and to assign the Executive Committee to implement this according to the internal regulations.
In its final statement, the council welcomed the commission of the President of the State of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas, to the Executive Committee and the Central Committee, to continue in the national dialogue to reach the unity of our land and our people.
