The representative of Palestine at the United Nations sends messages to UN officials on the continuation of the massacres in Gaza – the seventh day

The permanent representative of the State of Palestine to the United Nations, Minister Riyad Mansour, sent three identical messages to: United Nations Secretary -General Antonio Guterres, the head of the Security Council for this month “France”, and the President of the United Nations General Assembly, regarding the continued worsening of the humanitarian catastrophe and the horrific massacres in the Gaza Strip, in light of the continued Israeli occupation, its tight punitive siege and its random bombardment of all civilian areas in the sector.

According to the Palestinian News Agency (Wafa), today, Thursday; In his letters, Mansour touched on the continued Israeli occupation forces and colonists to commit murder and ethnic cleansing in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem.

He pointed out that the number of victims in Gaza, since October 7, 2023, has approached 52,000 martyrs, and more than 117,000 wounded, most of them children and women, noting that the occupation resorted to the desecration of graves and the demolition of entire graves in Gaza in an attempt to erase the Palestinians from the face of the earth.

He talked about the occupation forces continuing their inhuman blockade and their collective penalties, including depriving all citizens of the Gaza Strip of food, water, medicine, fuel and other vital humanitarian supplies, in addition to continuing to impose hundreds of checkpoints and stifling restrictions on the Palestinian movement, throughout the West Bank.

He also spoke in his messages about the severe restrictions imposed by Israel on the United Nations and other international humanitarian organizations, including Israel’s ongoing aggression on the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) and its procedures aimed at stopping its operations in the occupied Palestinian territory.

Mansour pointed to the raid and closure of the Israeli occupation forces 6 schools affiliated with UNRWA in occupied East Jerusalem, which led to the deprivation of 800 children of education and the completion of the academic year, in addition to continuing the aggression against the health system in Gaza, depriving the Palestinians of health care, continuing forced displacement of Palestinian civilians and stealing the Palestinian territories, whether by seizing property, demolishing homes, displacing the Palestinians and expanding the colonies In the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, or seizing vast areas in Gaza to expand the so -called buffer zone.

He stressed that the absence of Israel’s accountability, the occupying force, encouraged it to continue its aggression against the Palestinian people, their forced displacement and stripping it of its land and heritage, including incitement, provocations, and continuous attacks by the occupation, colonists, and Israeli extremist politicians on Christian and Islamic sanctities in Jerusalem.

He noted that the occupation forces assaulted the Christian pilgrims during the Easter celebrations in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, in addition to the escalation of provocations towards the Al -Aqsa Mosque and the Ibrahimi Mosque, including its continuous attempts to impose the temporal and spatial division, in a direct and clear violation of the current historical and legal status of the sacred location.

Mansour stressed the necessity of collective action immediately to support the United Nations and the provisions of the International Court of Justice, and urged all countries to take concrete measures and fulfill their legal, political, humanitarian and moral obligations, to stop the genocide and protect the Palestinian people.

He repeated the invitation of all countries to immediately move in line with international law, and to invite the Security Council to move in line with its mandate stipulated in its charter and with its relevant decisions, including the 2735 and 2334 resolutions.

He also stressed the necessity of stopping this genocide, ending this illegal occupation, protecting the international legal system, and achieving the rights of the unusable Palestinian people, including self -determination and return, and the peace and security in the region.
