“Cairo News Correspondent”: difficulties in recovering the remains of the martyrs after targeting the Yarmouk neighborhood – the seventh day

Youssef Abu Kwik, the correspondent of the “Cairo News” channel, said the Israeli warplanes launched a horrific air strike targeting a residential building in the Yarmouk neighborhood in the center of Gaza City, which resulted in dozens of martyrs and wounded, including children and women, and the planes fired at least two missiles on the upper floors of the building, causing large parts of it and turning apartments into burning rubble.

“Jabr” added, in statements with the journalist Hassani Bashir, on the “Cairo News” channel: “Immediately, civil defense teams and citizens spread at the site of the attack in a desperate attempt to retrieve the victims from under the rubble, amid horrific scenes of intermittent bodies and scattered body parts.”

One of the civil defense men said: “We are trying to retrieve the victims with the least capabilities. The body is scattered everywhere, young children, whole families, some of whom were folded under the wreckage, and some of them were slaughtered outside the building due to the severity of the explosion.”

He added: “The strike was very huge, and the true number of martyrs is unknown yet, but we extract torn bodies, some of which do not exceed small pieces.”

Abu Kwik said: “Upon we arrived in this area and dozens of meters away, we saw intermittent bodies that were thrown out of this building with the violent Israeli bombing, and a large number of martyrs and wounded were caused by this raid, while civil defense men continue to attempts to save the stranded on the last floor of this building.”

He continued: “This tragedy in Gaza is repeated with every Israeli raid, where the remains of the victims are gathered in small bags or wrapped with pieces of fabric before being transferred to the city’s graves or hospitals.”
