Jordanian Foreign Minister: A fair peace is the way of stability in the region – the seventh day

Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Al -Safadi said that his country’s presidency of the Arab League Council in its new session will be devoted to facing the threats facing Arab interests and achieving stability, explaining that this will only be achieved through the two -state solution and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.

He considered in his speech to the Arab League Council at the ministerial level, that this goal can only be achieved by stopping the aggression on Gaza, expressing his country’s absolute support for the efforts made by Egypt and Qatar to reach the ceasefire

He added that the just peace is the only way to ensure security and stability in the region, considering that it is an Arab choice with distinction, which appeared in the Arab Peace Initiative that has come to light since 2002.

Al -Safadi expressed his support for both Syria and Lebanon, in the face of challenges, as he stressed Sudan’s support and aspiration of his country to restore Khartoum its civil peace, in addition to the great support to Libya and Yemen.

He added that the need has become urgent to develop the Arab League, its tools and mechanisms to enhance the Arab collective action and face all the challenges taking place in the region at the present moment.
