Details of the Israeli occupation disrupting the Palestinian President’s travel to Syria – the seventh day

Palestinian officials told American media on Thursday that the Israeli authorities hinder the travel of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to Syria.

The officials pointed out that the Israeli side did not give approval to two Jordanian helicopters by reaching the city of Ramallah, on Thursday, to transfer the Palestinian president and his team to Jordan, where he was scheduled to visit Syria, on Friday, and meet President Ahmed Al -Shara.

But the same sources also indicated that extensive contacts are taking place between the Palestinian and Israeli sides for this purpose.

The two Jordanian helicopters were scheduled to reach Ramallah at two in the afternoon of Thursday afternoon, Jerusalem time, but, unusually, Israel did not give approval to do so.

The Palestinian President usually moves in a Jordanian helicopter from Ramallah to Amman, and from there he moves by the presidency to other countries.

Palestinian officials believe that Israel hinders this visit for political reasons, knowing that it is the first time that such a matter with Abbas.

Since the fall of the regime of former Syrian President Bashar al -Assad on December 8, Israel has taken a series of measures towards Syria, which included the destruction of at least 90% of its military capabilities through hundreds of air strikes, in addition to the incursion of Israeli forces in the depths of the Syrian territories and their control over large areas that reached the Jabal Sheikh summit.
