European Parliament member: They are concerned about the deterioration of the humanitarian situation in Gaza – the seventh day

Anna Miranda, a member of the European Parliament and member of the parliament delegation concerned with Palestine, has expressed concern about the deterioration of the humanitarian situation in Gaza and the lack of humanitarian aid.

“The European Union must be more strict in dealing with the genocide committed by Israel in the Gaza Strip, especially regarding the stopping of the entry of humanitarian aid, as we have witnessed during the past days that Israel launched many attacks on the places of civilians in the sector, in addition to the inherent dealing with more than 50 thousand people detainees inside Israeli prisons.”

She added that members of the European Parliament concerned with the Palestinian cause and members of all political parties are fighting for peace and condemning the genocide in the Gaza Strip by Israel for the Palestinian people.

She stressed that the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice had to have a concrete decision on the ground to stop the crimes of the Israeli occupation and the ongoing famine in the Gaza Strip and prohibit more arrest decisions for the Palestinians, but the problem is that Israel has a immunity before the international community.

She explained that the international community must cooperate in order to stop the war in the Gaza Strip and work to prevent the export of weapons to Israel and pressure them to allow the entry of humanitarian aid without any obstacles, as the Palestinian people are in urgent need of that aid, noting that we are working to push the European Union to assume its responsibilities for European diplomacy and the European position regarding the Palestinian issue.

She indicated that the forced displacement of the Palestinians violates international law, and we have opposed this proposal several times in the European Parliament, pointing out that the forced displacement should not be the result of this war as Israel seeks to evacuate the sector through ethnic cleansing and killing and destroying everything that is alive, so we demand the European Union and Parliament to move to stop Israeli immunity.
