The King of Jordan and the President of Indonesia condemns the escalation of the occupation’s violations in the Al -Aqsa Mosque – the seventh day

The Jordanian monarch, King Abdullah II, and Indonesian President Prabu Sobanto, condemned the escalation of violations of the Israeli occupation against the blessed Al -Aqsa Mosque, and attempts to divide it in time and space, warning of any attempts to prejudice the historical and legal status in the holy places in the Holy Quds.

This came during the talks conducted by the two leaders, today /Monday, and dealt with ways to enhance cooperation between Jordan and Indonesia, and the most prominent developments in the region.
At the beginning of extensive talks preceded by a dualism held at the Husayniyah Palace, King Abdullah II welcomed President Sobanto on his first visit to Jordan since he took over the presidency in his country.

King Abdullah II stressed the importance of the role of Indonesia at the international level, led by President Sobanto, in achieving stability, especially in light of the current challenges in the region.
He pointed out that the developments in the region, especially the war on Gaza and the situation in Syria and Lebanon, create a state of instability, praising the progress achieved by Indonesia during the past years, which constitutes great opportunities that can be used between the two countries, stressing the keenness to enhance bilateral cooperation.
And the Jordanian monarch, in the presence of Prince Ghazi bin Muhammad, the chief adviser to the King for Religious and Cultural Affairs, his personal envoy, said that the discussions will contribute to building bridges between the governments and peoples of Jordan and Indonesia.

King Abdullah II stressed that Jordan continued to play its religious and historical role in protecting Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, based on the Hashemite guardianship of these sanctities.
In turn, the Indonesian President said that Jordan and Indonesia have been friends for a long time, expressing his country’s solidarity with Jordan to defend the rights of the Palestinian people, stressing that Indonesia strongly supports the Palestinian people’s right to be independent, and in the establishment of their independent state.
The Indonesian President expressed his appreciation for the wise leadership of the king to achieve progress for Jordan, stressing his country’s keenness to continue cooperation with the Kingdom in various fields, especially agricultural ones.

The talks focused on the mechanisms of expanding the prospects of cooperation, especially in the defense, educational, agricultural and religious fields.
The talks touched on the efforts made to stop the war on Gaza, restore the ceasefire, resume the entry of aid, install the Palestinians on their land, and the importance of finding a political horizon to achieve a fair and comprehensive peace on the basis of the two -state solution.

King Abdullah II and the Indonesian President witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement in the defensive field, and three memoranda of understanding in the agricultural, educational and religious fields.
The talks were attended by, according to the statement of the Royal Court, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Jordanian Expatriate Affairs Ayman Al -Safadi, Director of the King’s Office, Eng. Alaa Al -Batayneh, Minister of Investment Eng. Muthanna Gharaiba, Head of the Honorary Mission accompanying the guest, a number of ministers, the Jordanian ambassador to Indonesia Sidqi Al -Amoush, and the accompanying delegation to the Indonesian President.
