The Lebanese Prime Minister, Dr. Nawwaf Salam, met with Syrian President Ahmed Al -Shara and Foreign Minister Asaad Al -Shaibani at the People’s Palace in Damascus, where a meeting was held by the delegation of the two countries.
Salam arrived at Damascus Airport, today, Monday, at the head of a ministerial delegation that included defense ministers, Major General Michel Mansi, the Ministry of Interior, Brigadier Ahmed Al -Hajjar and the Foreign Ministry, Youssef Raji. According to the National Agency for Media Lebanon.
According to the Lebanese newspaper “Al -Liwa”, that discussing the fate of the Lebanese missing persons in Syria for many years comes at the forefront of the visit’s priorities, and the newspaper pointed to information stating that a large number of them were killed and the search for their bodies was being searched, but this information has not been confirmed by any Lebanese or Syrian official.

This visit will pave the way for subsequent ministerial visits that include the ministers of economics, public works, transportation, agriculture and other ministries concerned with inter -relations between Lebanon and Syria, to discuss the agreements held and study what must be canceled from them and what must be set for new agreements.
