US Energy Minister: We prepare a comprehensive cooperation agreement with Saudi Arabia in the field of energy – the seventh day

“The United States is preparing to sign a comprehensive cooperation agreement with Saudi Arabia in the field of energy within weeks,” said US Energy Secretary Chris Wright.

In a statement to Al -Arabiya News Channel today, Wright added, “We will sign in the short term a broader agreement for energy cooperation, in partnerships, investments, investigations and nuclear energy,” noting that reaching a specific agreement for partnership in commercial nuclear development in Saudi Arabia will take longer, and it will take several months, not weeks.

He stressed the importance of dialogue in all areas of energy such as oil, natural gas, solar energy, energy storage, and water transport, as well as with the industrial sector.
On the other hand, the US Energy Minister expressed optimism about President Donald Trump’s agenda and what it will mean for economic growth, not only in the United States but in the world.

He also expressed his belief that global demand will grow at a faster pace, which people expect in the next few years thanks to the best economic agreements, the flow of the broader investment around the world and the improvement of economic growth, noting that the expectations for Saudi Arabia are very bright.

Yesterday, the American Minister of Energy discussed in Riyadh with his Saudi counterpart, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, opportunities for cooperation in the fields of energy research, exchanging experiences and enhancing joint research work.
