Iraq and Venezuela discuss joint coordination to support the stability of global oil markets – the seventh day

Today, Saturday, Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein discussed with his Venezuelan counterpart Ivan Jil Pinto, joint coordination to support the stability of global oil markets, in order to achieve the interests of both productive and consuming countries alike.

A statement by the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs – reported by the Iraqi News Agency (conscious) – that the meeting came on the sidelines of their participation in the work of the Antalya Diplomatic Forum (ADF2025) held in the Turkish state of Antalya, indicating that it dealt with ways to enhance bilateral relations between Iraq and Venezuela, especially in the fields of energy, trade and investment, within the framework of historical relations that bring together the two countries within the “OPEC” organization.

Hussein expressed Iraq’s aspiration to expand cooperation with Venezuela, especially in the field of oil companies and promising economic sectors, stressing the importance of strengthening the private sector partnership in both countries.

For his part, Pinto affirmed his country’s commitment to strengthening the bilateral dialogue, sending an official invitation to Fouad Hussein to visit Venezuela, expressing his welcome to visit the capital Caracas as soon as possible to continue the discussion on the prospects of joint cooperation.

The meeting discussed regional and international issues of common concern, including efforts to achieve stability in the Middle East and Latin American regions, as the two sides stressed the importance of adopting political solutions to crises and respecting the sovereignty of states.
