A Chinese symposium calling for the spread of a culture of tea in the Arab countries – the seventh day

The city of Qingdao in the Chinese province of Shandong hosted an expanded symposium entitled: “The exchange and promotion of the Chinese tea culture in the Arab countries”, at the Leoncheng Center for cultural exchange in the framework of promoting cultural exchange between China and Arab countries.

The symposium discussed ways to enhance cooperation between China and the Arab countries by promoting tea culture, as it is a joint civilized legacy that extends for thousands of years, and a symbol of the history of trade and cultural exchange through the old Silk Road.

During the activities of the symposium, the Egyptian Dr. Dina Al -Hadi, who holds a PhD in Biological Sciences from the University of Tsingoa in the Chinese capital, Beijing, was chosen to serve as an honorary ambassador and a major advisor to the Leoncheng Center, in appreciation of her contributions to supporting cultural exchange between China and the Arab world, especially in the fields of the culture of tea and alternative Chinese medicine.

In her speech during the symposium, Dr. Dina Al -Hadi was a comparative offer between the cultures of Chinese and Arab tea, in which it dealt with the differences in taste and traditions, and also reviewed the directions and requirements of the Arab market, noting the opportunities to promote alternative medicine and Chinese medical products in the Arab countries.

The symposium witnessed the presence of a number of prominent figures in the Chinese tea sector, among them Mrs. Yang, the Foundation of “Liu Yongang”, Mr. Han, representative of “Tea Wouxing”, and Mr. Chen Yao, from “Jianghan Legong Chiabo”, alongside Mr. Lay, President of “Guangdong Yinding Geno”.

Mrs. Nancy Liang, CEO of the World Procurement Center in the Asia Pacific region, also participated in the event, and the main adviser to promoting famous Chinese brands in the field of tea at the international level.

For her part, Mrs. Yang, President of the “Le Yuyucheng” Center, confirmed that the friendship between China and the Arab countries is striking its roots in history, and that tea represents a civilized symbol that enhances human dialogue between peoples, adding: “We hope that this event will be a starting point for a new semester of joint cultural exchange, within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.”

In turn, Nancy Liang indicated that the symposium represents an effective platform to open new horizons for Chinese tea companies in the Arab markets, stressing that deepening the understanding of Chinese culture would enhance business and investment opportunities in the future.

The opening words emphasized the importance of tea as a way to build joint understanding and expand the horizons of economic and cultural cooperation between the two sides.
The symposium included a series of interactive events, which included shows for art preparation and taste, as well as promoting traditional medical and nutritional products such as Qiaobao Tangerine Peel known for its health benefits and its uses in traditional Chinese medicine, in addition to the products of the “Yinding side” company, which represents a model for innovation and industrial integration in the tea industry.

Also, prominent companies, including Wuyi Star, a “Wuyi Rock” tea, have been keen to display the history and culture of Chinese tea, in confirmation of China’s entrepreneurial position in this ancient field.

At the end of its work, today the symposium, which lasted for three days, recommended organizing international exhibitions for tea culture and exchanging heritage skills, as well as enhancing cooperation between Chinese companies and Arab markets through electronic commerce and industrial integration, and the exchange of tea cultivation and treatment techniques in a way that contributes to achieving sustainable development.
