Today, Saturday, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, the Secretary -General of the League of Arab States, met in the context of his participation in the work of the Antalya Diplomatic Forum in Türkiye, with Mr. Nurlan Yermkaev, Secretary -General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
The Minister of Jamal Rushdie, the official spokesman for the Secretary -General, stressed that Abu Al -Ghait stressed the importance of working to enhance cooperation relations between the two organizations and consider raising the level of relations between them, as the two parties dealt with the latest developments in the international scene, especially economic developments in light of the American decisions on definitions as well as the conditions in the region.
The spokesperson pointed out that Mr. Yarmkzbayev was keen to confirm in turn the extent of the interest that the Shanghai Organization attaches to cooperation to improve the level of cooperation with the Arab League, especially in light of the presence of many common challenges that should work to confront, and also in light of the presence of opportunities available for joint work, stressing the organization’s readiness to organize this cooperation and develop it. The Secretary -General of the organization invited Abu Al -Ghait to visit the organization soon.
