The liquidation of 10 medical cadres in North Darfur by the Rapid Support Militia – the seventh day

The Sudan Doctors ’Network revealed that a force belonging to the rapid support militia has liquidated 10 medical cadres, including the director of the“ Umm Kaddah ”hospital in the state of North Darfur, and 9 others of the medical cadres operating in the“ Zamzam ”camp for the displaced after the attack carried out by the rapid support on Friday.

A statement issued by the Sudan Doctors Network said today, Saturday: “A force of rapid support has liquidated 10 medical cadres, including the director of the” Umm Kaddah “hospital in the state of North Darfur, and 9 others of the medical cadres operating in the” Zamzam “camp for the displaced after the attack carried out by the rapid support on Friday.”

The statement continued: “The network expresses its deep regret due to the systematic qualifiers for the medical cadres operating in Darfur, despite the great challenges surrounding the besieged state in light of the suffering of thousands of civilians due to the lack of medical cadres in the state of North Darfur.”

The doctors of Sudan stressed that targeting medical cadres systematically within medical facilities is a clear persistence in the killing, as the killing of medical cadres threatens the suffering of thousands of patients in the state of North Darfur, and continued: “The liquidation operations are an attempt to stop any medical services and a clear threat to the lives of defenseless civilians in the region, which will push thousands of civilians to displace again in search of medical services.”

The network called on international organizations, by pressuring rapid support to stop systematic killings against medical cadres that operate in light of the extremely complex humanitarian conditions for people’s medical treatment and save their lives despite the lack of capabilities and scarcity of medical supplies.
