The committee assigned by the Arab and Islamic Summit on Gaza announced in a statement that the Israeli -Palestinian conflict is in its worst stages in decades, noting that this undermines the efforts of the two -state solution.

The statement stated: “The internationally acceptable solution is a single solution that was ignored despite decades -continuing discussions,” after a meeting held on the sidelines of the Antalya diplomatic meeting on permanent peace in the Middle East in Türkiye.

He continued: “Failure to record progress towards implementing a two -state solution mainly enhances all types of extremism and violence.”

He stressed that “the non -resolving the conflict will only lead to the emergence of the risk of the outbreak of the war in the future.”

He added: “The parties concerned must engage in realistic negotiations, and the international community should bear its responsibility in supporting a fair political solution that ends the occupation.”

The statement stressed that “the international community must assume its responsibility to support a solution that ends the waves of violence witnessed by the eastern Mediterranean.”

He continued: “We express our concern about the recent developments in the occupied Palestinian territories. We condemn the return of the aggression against the Gaza Strip, which killed a large number of civilians.”

The statement concluded: “We call for an immediate ceasefire and a complete implementation of the ceasefire and the release of the detainees. We call for the unification of the Gaza Strip with the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, under the rule of the Palestinian Authority.”
