Faisal Nias Tremte, Pakistan’s ambassador to the Emirates, announced that the volume of trade exchange between Pakistan and the UAE exceeded 10.9 billion US dollars during the fiscal year 2023-2024, including the trade of goods and services.

Tirmidhi said – in statements reported by the Emirates News Agency “WAM” on Friday, that the remittances of the Pakistani community in the UAE amounted to 6.7 billion dollars during the year 2024 and expected to exceed 7 billion dollars in 2025.
He added that these figures reflect the strength of the economic partnership between the two countries and the vital role that the Pakistani community plays in supporting the national economy.

He pointed out that the commodity trade during the year 2023-2024 recorded 8.41 billion dollars after Pakistan’s exports increased by 41.06% to reach 2.08 billion dollars, while its imports from the UAE decreased by 14.45% to record 6.33 billion dollars, which contributed to reducing the trade deficit by 28.28%. 20.54%.
Tirmidhi explained that the period from July 2024 to January 2025 witnessed a growth in commodity trade by 21.63%, while Pakistan’s exports increased by 7.53%, which reflects the continuation of momentum in economic relations.
He stressed that about 19 Emirati companies are currently working in Pakistan, noting that the UAE has invested greatly in vital sectors that include communications, services, tourism, information technology, oil and gas, housing, banks and real estate in Pakistan.
The Pakistani Ambassador revealed that the Emirati telecom sector has investigated a prominent strategic investment through its acquisition of a large share in the Pakistani Telecom Company Ltd. with a value of more than two billion dollars, and the Abu Dhabi Ports Company and Dubai Ports Group signed agreements to manage and operate ports, including the development of the Karachi port and its associated infrastructure.
