UNHCR: Israeli evacuation orders in the Gaza Strip decisions – Displacement – Seventh Day

A spokeswoman for the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Ravenna Shamsannie, considered that Israeli evacuation orders in the Gaza Strip are displacement decisions, and indicated that tens of thousands are trapped in Rafah due to evacuation orders with the aim of establishing a buffer zone.

She emphasized that the nature of the evacuation orders issued by Israel and its scope raises serious concerns that it intends to evacuate the civilian population from these areas permanently with the aim of establishing a buffer zone.

She explained that the orders of the Israeli evacuation in Gaza have forcibly transferred Palestinians to areas that are increasingly shrinking, noting that the chances of the displaced in Gaza reaching life -saving services are almost non -existent.

“In light of the cumulative impact of the behavior of the Israeli forces in Gaza, the High Commissioner expresses its deep concern that Israel apparently imposes on the Palestinians in Gaza life conditions that are increasingly inconsistent with their continued presence as a group in Gaza,” Shamsanani said – during a press conference on Gaza in Geneva – that “in light of the cumulative impact of the behavior of the Israeli forces in Gaza, the High Commissioner expresses its deep concern that Israel apparently imposes on the Palestinians in Gaza life conditions that are increasingly contradicting with their continued presence as a group in Gaza.”

She said that the permanent displacement of civilian population on the occupied land is up to the level of forced deportation, which is a serious violation of the Fourth Geneva Convention and a crime against humanity.

I also mentioned that tens of thousands of Palestinians are trapped in Rafah without a way to get out of it and do not get any assistance.

The UNHCR reported the continued Israeli military raids, as Israeli fighters have launched from mid -March until April 9, 224, and left a large number of victims, most of them women and children only.

Today, the Israeli army warned the Palestinians in areas in the neighborhoods of Al -Zaytoun, Al -Shuja’ia and Al -Apple, east of Gaza City, to evacuate their homes before attacking them “strongly”.

A spokesman for the Israeli army – via the X platform – said, “The army is making an urgent warning and a dangerous warning to all the residents of the Gaza Strip located in the Shujaiya and Al -Jadida neighborhoods, the Turkmen, the expansion of influence, the eastern olives, the light, and the apple.”

The Israeli spokesman added that the army “operates strongly in your areas, and warned the citizens to evacuate these areas immediately, and move to the well -known shelter centers west of Gaza City,” knowing that Gaza does not have places of shelter, contrary to what the occupation army claims.
